Vomit Church (Mex/Gre) interview

Answers by Vomit Priest.

I hail the unholy crew of Vomit Church with a blasphemous vomit! At first, I'd like to tell you a shorter story about how I got to know your charming art. During a drunken gig session I saw your tape cover for ”Offers to the Sado-God” at domestic Neverheard Distro stand, I read the band's name and I bought the cassette right there. I did not have any info on you but I thought with such a name you can only play good music and how much I was right! I love my instincts when it comes to buying releases. There are certain key characteristics that make me wet, hehe. Well, so thanks to that you appear now in Tales of the Morbid Butchers.

HAIL DARK WARRIOR!

In this modern world, it is not very hard to set up an international cooperation, please tell us about this to me and the readers. When and from whose sick brain the idea of this godless band come around? Maybe you met at some gig and by dawn you found the common thing after much alcohol?

We decided to play black metal with musicians of early Enshadowed (90s) and a Mexican demon because we just love the eternal darkness.

Which was the concept for the music of Vomit Church? What was your basic idea regarding the music? How much Aztec Warrior is involved in the final musical terror? How do you compose the music?

PURE DARKNESS! HELL!!! Aztec Warrior is another demon from hell! We compose with the help of spiritual darkness.

The band name is appealing to me! What does the concept of vomit symbolize to you? Is it a form of expression, an opinion about the events of the world, or simply a fascination towards the release of food via the mouth?

Vomit is a pure symbol of blasphemy.

The logo of the band is great. Whose idea was that? What bands do you pay tribute to, what bands did have an influence on you?

All the Vomit church musicians had this idea! Influences? Scandinavian black metal and Slayer!

How much did you work on your first track and which was that? Maybe ”Drink the Vomit of Doom”? It has a charming title, what is it about?

It is the effort to trasnform yourself! Be real and demonic.

In the inner inlay of ”Offers to the Sado-God” there are two provocative pictures. One of them depicts a priest anally using a crucifix while the other shows a female body with the head of Jesus, and a star on her six-pointed star on the center of which there is a $ symbol. This is an obvious  reference but please discuss how you see this religious infection and what are the messages of these pictures.

I SAW THEM IN MY DREAMS. Just symbols of hell.

On this album my fave songs are ”Drink the Vomit of Doom” and ”Enemies of the Cross”. In these tracks, beside the old school black metal an unholy manifestation of infernal thrash is also manifested.

Of course!

There are longer interludes like ”Feel the Demon” and ”The Omen”. Are these integral part of the album's message?

Yes! Pure as hell.

The closing ”Jazz Devils” is also an interesting musical madness. What's the story of that?

It is the name of a project which never became a real band! We choose to use a song of this project in the album!

You also included some female agonization on the album. Do you have some perverse feelings towards the female sex? Do you think that those who are sexually attracted to pain and causing pain have mental problems or is that a higher state of the mind?

It was necesarry for the feeling.

Regarding this subject, on Wikipedia these different sexual ”aberrations” are collected under the title paraphilia. These are considered as sickness but I don't think all should be considered as such. What do you think of this? What causes that someone is attracted to pantyhoses or feet? Doctors say that the person has some problems in childhood.

Art has no limits.

There is a song on youtube „”Yo Soy Satan” which has a different cover titled ”Offers to the Sado-God” compared to the 2006 version. What should we know about this? Which version is that?

It is the best version.

In 2015, you again came up with a split, a 12” LP with Master of Cruelty, Fetid Zombie and Nocturnized. Tell us about this release that you find important.

It was a new work for all the friends of the band! Worship!!!

There was also a  video trailer for this stuff. Whose idea was that and who made that? Any serious change for the band thanks to that? How much do you find internet promotion important?

It was just an artistic idea. I hope you like it.

When can we expect your next vomit? What are your plans for the future?

No plans for now, maybe a new full length album.

Did you have a Vomit Church live ritual? If yes, where and how was it? If not, is it possible in the future?

Never.

The band has existed for more than 10 years but only released two splits and an album. I think this is due to the fact that three members are also active in several bands in the Greek scene, while our Mexican comrade has also his own Goat Skull horde and his label. Please tell us about your active bands. Burial Hordes and Enshadowed are big favourites of mine.

My active band is only Vomit Church. I was an Enshadowed member 1998-1999.

Is attacking of and spitting on organized religions is a key element for Vomit Church? Do you have any concrrete aim with this or is it simpla a form of self expression projecting your feelings and thoughts?

No, just pure dark art.

Christian nuns and priests have made an oath and gave up all carnal pleasures. I'd be interested in seeing what kind of orgies are organized in monasteries. What's your opininon about that? Or are people that silly to deny pleasures from themselves?

Be yourself and worship Darkness.

How did you feel while answering these questions? Have you ever had such interview question that you decided not to answer?

I felt excellent.

Thank you for accepting my request and answering my questions. The last words are yours.

The smell of death permeates, the silk within my coffin lays!
