What does Hatework mean to you, what were your aims when launching the project, what are these for now and for the future?
HATEWORK and in generell the Black Metal Underground is a big part of my live. I worship/ live this Art since a long long time 24 hours a day. . Its not just a temporary intrested ...Its my live..
My goals spread Chaos, Blood and Darkness! World In Flames!!
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know there was a 15-year hiatus between 2001 and 2016, when the label was inactive. What were the events leading to this and who were behind Hatework during these years? Please also provide some of the parameters of Hatework for those unfamiliar with your works.
When I started Hatework is was very young like 15 or so..at this Time i want to be a part of the black Metal Underground so badly...So i started a small Label who is 100 % dedicated to the Black Metal Underground. I put Hatework on ice in 2003, because i moved to another country and had the feeling not to be a part of the Underground Scene anymore. To .much ,, untermenschen,, who poisoned the Scene.personal . In 2015 i deceided to reactivated Hatework. In first place to release music i am involved and friends of mine. Its a good thing to run your own label so you get sure everything will be handled with 100% dedication on a upcoming release.
What do you take into consideration when planning and releasing an album? What sort of standards should a band meet to be able to join the label?
Most important thing, Hatework is like a black Circle . Call it Family . I have to all people which i work a friendship releation ship. I know a lot in person and for many years...Mostly all Bands / Artists have a good connection to each other. We supporting each other with layout stuff, doing art whatever..

Most of your releases carry a kind of natural self-conscious fighting mood regarding the concept of music and the general artistic attitude. Is it important for a band to communicate and to have a message beyond music?
Black Metal/ Art is the only escape from the modern world. In my opinion the music art of a band speaks for itself..
Shall we turn towards the past...? The early 2000's saw 3 Hatework releases: a tape, IAD: The 6 Precepts Of The Diabolical Deluge, a split 7", EMPALIGON/TRIUMVIRAT XUL and a CD-r from DUNGEON. I like the first two, I know them well but I have never heard the DUNGEON material. Please tell us about it.
You forget my first Release was a Tape Compilation Tape called ,, Sturmzeit” featured bands like Katharsis, Moonblood , Skalder, Panzerfaust...Nevermind.
Dungeon was a sideproject of Pest Members . Ritual Music in the vein of Abruptum . They recorded this 2 Songs for the MiniCd . It was limited to 100 Units if i remember right. An another demo which was never released.
Hatework specialises in limited editions. Why?
Because they are not that much peolple on the planet who deserve a copy of our art. Look at all these hipsters on the forums, youtubechannels what ever...Fuck Off!
Besides running the label do you do distribution work? If so, please tell us about it, how do you decide on the material you wish to distribute?
I do a bit of Distribution work, not my main buisness. Mostly i distribute stuff of Bands / Labels i am in contact witth good friends of mine like Megalith Grave, Pest, Perverse Homage, Signal Rex...
Hatework seems to be quite an ambitious label, what does the name stand for? It is absolutely obvious that you do not support standard views on music. Is it a conscious effort to exclude bands playing along the lines of traditional styles?

As you are a part of it, may I ask you about GORMANUDR? A split 7" with FIDELIS has just been released, what are your thoughts on this collaboration?
Very proud of this release , Fidelis are very close friends of mine so it was great to have the opputunity to make this release possible. Both songs are realy skikkk shit and also the art of the 7 Inch is Awesome. For me a personal highlight of 2017
Another remarkable effort is the Ad Abolendam EP from IAD. Please say a few words about it, too.
Another onslaught in the face of Nowadays Black Metal.

Do you follow the current trends in music, are there any up-and-coming bands to watch out for?
Nope. Not realy. Trends come and go. If a Song of a Band touches me i dont care about the genre they are from...
